Deep Stitch
A Social Enterprise Initiative of The Leopard Society Foundation, Inc.Mission Statement
The Deep Stitch Program is the first economic initiative of The Leopard Society Foundation, Inc.
Our mission is to build sustainable income streams that directly support education, innovation, and community development across the global Black diaspora.
We start by selling premium socks and apparel to raise capital. The revenue we generate funds the creation of our own production infrastructure, enabling us to eventually manufacture our own products, create jobs, and provide real opportunities for our people.
Purpose
Deep Stitch exists to prove that cooperative economics can fund long-term change.
Through this program, we aim to:
Build a foundation for self-funded development, starting with apparel sales.
Transition from resale to in-house production and training.
Create job opportunities and skill pipelines for young people across our society.
Reinforce the idea that ownership and craftsmanship are tools for independence and dignity.
Program Model
Sell First, Build Later: Begin with resale and curated partnerships to establish brand visibility and cash flow.
Reinvest in Infrastructure: Allocate profits to acquire equipment and develop our own micro-manufacturing hubs.
Empower Our People: Train and employ our members to produce goods we own, sell, and export under the Deep Stitch brand.
Connect Global Markets: Bridge the gap between the diaspora and African industries through trade and skill exchange.
Impact Goals
Economic Empowerment: Build a model of self-funded, Black-led enterprise that generates sustainable income for community programs.
Skill Development: Train artisans and youth in product design, printing, and cooperative manufacturing.
Cultural Pride: Use design as a form of storytelling, connecting global Black identity through craftsmanship.
